From The Musician's Exchange (August 1995)
Robert Jackson, Survivor of the War on Rock (CD11) * * * *
This is a great CD with good production, songwriting, and many instances where this disc succeeds: "Calm Before the Storm," with its Rundgren-like melody, the barrelin "Mason-Dixon Line"; and the title track where Jackson's sense of humor comes to the foreground. -RA (Anti Industry Formula Records)
From Emperor Multimedia
The debut release from Robert Jackson and his unique blend of down to earth rock music. True talent abounds on this disc that is sure to please almost any rock fan. The CD contains a mix of styles from hard rock to southern rock. The CD opens with Signed, a rocking track about the trials and tribulations of an unsigned act and later features Mason Dixon Line, a story of a man turned fugitive. Each song is thoughtful and tells a story. There is a saying that a good musician can play any type of music but chooses his favorite. This CD proves the theory.
